Who is The Team?

The tEAM is a network of Christians who believe in the healing and encouragement of others through the power of prayer and fellowship. tEAMmates are those children battling chronic illnesses or recovering from traumatic injuries, their families, and all who are ready to pray for and support the tEAMmates in need. Anyone can be a tEAMmate. Just like any sports team, the tEAM’s mission is to lift up its members in need. The tEAM is a ministry. It is not a corporation, LLC, or fund raising entity.

tEAM Goals

  • Enlist prayer warriors for children battling chronic illnesses or recovery from traumatic injury.
  • Provide comfort and encouragement to the children and their families during their time of need.
  • Serve as a place for parents of chronically ill or injured children to find guidance, comfort and resources from other parents in similar circumstances, past and present.
Theteamnetwork.com

This website is the central hub of the ministry. Its main focus is to serve as a posting site for prayer requests from tEAMmates involved with a child suffering from a chronic illness or injury. All tEAMmates are asked to log on regularly to lift up the needs of our team before to God.

Theteamnetwork.com also features a message board for families in need to share their stories, offer praise reports, and seek more help if needed. The message board is also a tool for families in need to seek guidance and comfort from other families in similar situations with regard to medical care and daily challenges associated with treatment regimens.

There will also be a daily message and scripture from one of our tEAM chaplains. This is a key piece of the ministry as we place our tEAM’s needs in the hands of God, and serve Him as witnesses to his love and compassion for us all.

The website also features a page with links that provide additional resources and information for our tEAMmates in need. It also serves as a place where all tEAMmates can be led to participate in various community activities, which ultimately benefit children battling chronic illness and traumatic injury. This is called The tEAM in action.

tEAM Chaplains

The ministry is centered on a relationship with God. It’s a relationship that seeks to honor Him while asking for and receiving His healing love and comfort for children in need according to His will. The tEAM chaplains minister to the tEAM on a rotating basis by providing scripture and guidance for our pursuit. Their message is geared especially for the tEAMmates in need, but certainly applies to us all. The tEAM chaplains are made of up individuals who represent a cross-section of our Christian family from many different parts of the country.

The Spirit Squad

The Spirit Squad is a group of individuals charged with a more physical outreach of The tEAM. The Spirit Squad is always ready with a personal note of encouragement for our tEAMmates in need. They also serve as a personal contact between all tEAMmates and the tEAMmates who are being lifted up. Look for the Spirit Squad to be heavily involved in “The tEAM in Action.”

The tEAM Bracelets

Call it part of the “uniform.” The tEAM bracelets are white silicone bracelets embossed with “The tEAM” on one side, and “theteamnetwork.com” on the other. These bracelets are designed to spark conversation and raise awareness. They also unite all tEAMmates as we hope they will be worn by both our tEAMmates in need, and by our tEAMmates lifting us up through their prayers and support.
